The X-Files (1993-2002)“Rich and layered, deep and alternatively light and tragic, it’s the show that changed, well, everything really, about how television drama was executed. It lives on even today, as we see how the protagonists of Fox Mulder the Believer and Dana Scully the Skeptic continue to influence how characters are shaped, and the way the mythology of the show allowed for primetime television to explore new roads of storytelling. It was beautiful and asked the most human of questions regarding our existence and our beliefs, but more than anything, it was a love story in every possible regard— the love for life, the love for truth, and of course, the love for each other.”

White Collar is a lovely show, a con artist helps an FBI agent catch white collar (obviously) criminals. It’s very quirky. The characters are just adorable.

Scully is the first woman I saw that was truly badass AND a scientist, she really helped me realize just how much of a scientist I am and how I tend to think rationally and logically. I have not watched Fringe (except for just a few various scenes while my roommate was watching it) and I’m a bit reluctant to watch it because I’ve heard how much it is like the X-Files, I get that defensive stance of ‘no one else gets to be a show like X-Files, it is sacred!’ lol but I’m sure one day I’ll get into it. I just have so many other shows on my list to get to first. Next up on my list is Doctor Who, and then Sherlock. Those two will take me awhile!

When I get into something new, I tend to focus on it obsessively. And when I’m done with that obsession, I’ll move on to another. My current obsession is Leverage ;)
